    Centering this image lets this striking doorway work some magic–like a still from a Kubrick film.

      Thanks, John. I hadn’t thought of a Kubrick connection, but I’ll take it! Now you mention it I see what you mean. Though I’ve always wondered whether I overuse centred subjects, so I’m pleased it works. I was attracted to the two bushes either side, like benign sentries.

        You’ve used a similar approach just as effectively in your Samos scooter, Trinity College, Glossa Skopelos and Cowley Street pictures.
